Taking pictures of my progress along the way has been one of my most useful tools in Project Get Fit AF. I’ve never been comfortable enough to wear a set like this before, and now I love it 😛 My recovery time from all those big lifting sessions or runs has been short and sweet. Studies show that a plant based diet helps athletes’ bodies repair, recover, and rebuild much quicker after a big workout, particularly when you compare it to a diet heavy in animal products. So much less inflammation in the body as well as better digestion, and a lot less bloating too (which is one of the worst things to deal with when you’re trying to move your body). Plus, animal agriculture is the leading cause of climate change: it takes 660 gallons of water to make one hamburger, which equals 2 months worth of showers.
